VERGAT-DEX is a sterile, BP/IP-compliant ophthalmic solution. It combines an antibiotic and a corticosteroid for combined infection and inflammation control. As a result, ophthalmologists commonly prescribe it for post-surgical and infective-inflammatory eye conditions.

The eye drops combine:

• Gatifloxacin IP (0.3% w/v) – This fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. Consequently, it stops bacterial DNA replication and clears susceptible ocular infections.
